Board adopts K–12 science curricula: Twig (K–5), Into Science (6–8), Patterns (9–12)

Directors of Teaching and Learning Dayna Cahill and Bruce Martin presented the district’s evaluation and selection process for science curricula. Director Michelle Roberts moved to approve Imagine Learning – Twig Science for grades K–5, Houghton Mifflin – Into Science for grades 6–8, and to re-adopt Patterns Curriculum for grades 9–12; the motion passed unanimously, 7–0.
The presenters described the selection as the result of a district-led review and recommended package for the coming school year. The board recorded the adoptions in the minutes and approved the staff recommendation without recorded dissent.
