Superintendent Aaron Duff reported on summer operations and facilities during the July 14 meeting, noting that the summer lunch program has been serving record numbers and that the Jump Start summer school session will begin July 28, 2025.
Facilities staff completed gym floor sealing at Gib Olinger and Central and have scheduled a more thorough sanding and refinish at Mac‑Hi expected within two weeks. Sidewalk updates at Mac‑Hi are underway and the FFA barn at Ferndale is structurally complete but not yet housing animals. Mr. Duff also noted that he attended the AASA conference in Washington, D.C., and will pursue recruitment for a junior school board representative with applicants to be presented by October; Emanuel Hernandez will remain the senior school representative per the notes.
