Board confirms district appointments and vendors for 2025–26 school year

During the July 14 meeting Superintendent Aaron Duff presented the district’s organizational business motions for 2025–26 and the board unanimously approved them.
Approved items include designating the Milton‑Freewater School Board as the contract review board (ORS 279.055), naming the Walla Walla Union‑Bulletin as the official district newspaper, appointing Michael Corey of Wheatland Insurance as insurance consultant, continuing depositories (Government Investment Pool, Baker Boyer, First Community Credit Union), retaining Monahan, Grove & Tucker (Sam Tucker) for legal counsel except in labor matters, and retaining Greg Colvin and Associates (High Desert ESD Legal Services) for labor‑related representation. The board also appointed Pauly, Rodgers and Company, P.C. as auditors and designated Superintendent Aaron Duff as district clerk, custodian of funds, custodian of facsimile signature authorization (ORS 328.445), and budget officer (ORS 294.321).
