Board approves student fundraisers, facility-use agreements and audit certification

Trustees approved multiple student fundraisers and facility-use agreements and certified the 2024–25 annual audit; two facility requests were tabled for a future meeting.
The Mendota Unified board on Jan. 21 approved a slate of consent items including student fundraisers: a Mendota High Sober Grad Birria Plate fundraiser (Jan. 21–Feb. 27, 2026) with proceeds for graduation fireworks and a drone show (item 9.1 was approved with President Charles recused), MHS baseball apparel sales (Jan. 21–May 8, 2026), MJHS leadership chocolate sale (Feb. 2–27, 2026), and MJHS ASB seasonal snack sales through May 31, 2026. The district also approved a facility-use agreement with Fresno County DES/Red Cross for emergency shelter services.
Separately, trustees certified the 2024–25 Annual Audit Report as required by the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools and approved the 2024–25 School Accountability Report Cards for all district sites to be published during the 2025–26 school year. Two facility-use requests (Mendota Youth Recreation Cal Ripken practices and Pentecostal Church of God girls league) were tabled for a future meeting.
