Board hires two staff, approves coaches lists and travel requests
Summary

The board approved multiple personnel and extracurricular items Jan. 21. The hires recorded in the minutes include Cord Boland to a math teaching position at Mendota Junior High (contingent on receiving a preliminary single-subject math credential) and Frank Moua as district information-technology coordinator.
Trustees also approved the Mendota High School winter and spring coaches lists and the Mendota Junior High coaches list for the 2025–26 school year. President Sherry Charles recused herself from votes on Mendota High coaches lists (items 10.3 and 10.5); both of those votes passed 6–0 with Charles recused. The board approved travel for Trustee Lupe Flores to attend the CSBA Coast-to-Coast conference in Washington, D.C. (April 11–16, 2026) and authorized the Mendota High Robotics Team to participate in the Nor Cal Regional Championship in Palo Alto (Feb. 28–Mar. 1, 2026).
