The board also approved the resignation of Mendota High School Varsity Girls Head Wrestling Coach Blanca Aleman (effective Nov. 5, 2025), approved transfers and hires for several instructional aide positions (Duesir Ceja, Delmi Morales, Vanessa Oliva/Gonzalez transfer), and approved hiring Araceli Ortiz as a Special Education SDC Teacher contingent upon receipt of a Short-Term Staff Permit. The motions for these personnel items passed by roll-call vote as reflected in the minutes.
Trustees used the recognition portion of the meeting to thank Watkins personally: the minutes note multiple trustees thanking him for his years of service.
