The board's IT unit reported Aug. 6 that it supported ABR Phase 1 launch, is developing a voting and elections database due in April 2026, and is configuring a network redesign to be finished by mid-September. The unit said it also became a StateRAMP member to improve procurement security and to require vendor authorization and ongoing monitoring for technology used in elections.
An IT representative said the Secure Elections Center completed in-person awareness training and the team is preparing lunch-and-learn webinars for county boards; staff also noted improvements in cybersecurity maturity following statewide reassessments and federal reviews.
