Students celebrated winter sports and upcoming school events at board meeting

Student representatives Elia Santos and Rachel Pepin updated the board on school activities. Santos reported the theater group produced CLUE earlier in the week and announced a staff vs. students basketball game and talent show as a fundraiser for "our Sparrow Katy," plus a drive-by donation at Phoenix High on March 6 from 5:30–7:00 p.m. Rachel Pepin noted winter sports awards night, two wrestlers who placed at state, and swimmer Quin Davis, described as a two-time swim champion who placed strongly in recent events.
The students also thanked the Future Planning Center for assistance with scholarship (OSAC) appeals and invited the community to upcoming events, including a Spring Formal on March 14 and a spring concert on March 10. Board members and principals acknowledged classified-staff appreciation week and the contributions of school staff and volunteers.
