Pendleton School Board approves personnel report including new hires and resignations

At the June 3, 2025 Pendleton School District 16 work session, Director of Human Resources Kevin Dinning presented a revised personnel report that the board approved by motion.
The report listed new hires including Austin Zaugg (Accounts Payable Assistant, confidential), Haydyn Wallender (ELA teacher, Sunridge Middle School, 2025–26 SY) and Bailey Weinke (PE teacher, Sunridge Middle School, 2025–26 SY). Classified retirement listed Lisa Lake (paraprofessional, Sherwood Elementary); certified leave of absence listed Annalise Oertwich (Grade 5 teacher, Sherwood Elementary); and resignations included Noah Eckstine (Grade 6 Science Teacher, Sunridge; effective 6/9/2025), Meagan Gear‑Sims (paraprofessional, Washington Elementary; effective 6/6/2025) and Carmen Urtecho (paraprofessional, Pendleton High School; effective 6/6/2025).
Director Beth Harrison moved to approve the personnel recommendations; Director Ryan Lehnert seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes record the motion as: “Director Harrison motioned that the personnel recommendations for the June 3, 2025, work session be approved as presented. Director Lehnert seconded. Motion passed unanimously.”
