The Pendleton School District 16 Board approved a slate of grant awards at the May 12 meeting. Grants presented by the business services office included $16,224 from Buck Boosters to Pendleton High School for new weight room equipment, $1,200 to the Pendleton Center for the Arts for PELC art supplies, $500 from the Rotary Club of Pendleton for a Sunridge Middle School leadership program, and two $350 awards for school activities (Battle of the Books and student T-shirt costs).
Director Beth Harrison moved to approve the grants and requested a letter of appreciation be sent to each granting organization; Director Mason Murphy seconded and the minutes record the motion as carried unanimously. The board did not record additional conditions or spending restrictions in the minutes.
