Board approves SOESD 2026–27 Local Service Plan and SSA Comprehensive Support Plan

Director Nancy Castillo-McKinnis moved to approve the plans; Director Diana Rasmussen seconded the motion. Director Dawn Watson said she initially had reservations about the ESD's many new board members and changes in administration this year but expressed hope about collaborative direction. The motion carried with five yea votes and two absences (Rebecca Weathers and Rick Nagel).
The board recorded the vote as: Michael Campbell: Yea; Nancy Castillo-McKinnis: Yea; Polly Farrimond: Yea; Diana Rasmussen: Yea; Dawn Watson: Yea; Rick Nagel: Absent; Rebecca Weathers: Absent. No further action was recorded at the meeting related to the plans.
District staff will continue to work with the ESD on implementation details as the plans move forward.
