The district expects to submit federal grant applications by the end of summer.
On prekindergarten programming the district said it has tentative approval for CSIS services and an integrated special-classroom model that could increase reimbursement; the maximum allotment for UPK this year is $275,000 and last year the district received approximately $100,000. The superintendent also described extended school-day and summer programming (about 100 summer participants so far) and noted a 30‑day public comment period beginning the following day for a minor change to the district safety plan focused on building access control and visitor screening.
