Pendleton board approves updates to nondiscrimination, cybersecurity, graduation and other policies

The Pendleton School District 16R Board of Directors voted unanimously April 14 to adopt a package of updated policies and administrative rules covering nondiscrimination, cybersecurity, sexual harassment procedures, instructional materials and graduation requirements.
Superintendent Kevin Headings presented the slate, which included AC (Nondiscrimination and Civil Rights), EHB (Cybersecurity), GBN/JBA and JBS/GBN (Sexual Harassment), IIA (Instructional Materials), IKF and IKFB (Graduation Requirements and Graduation Exercises), JECA (Admission of Resident Students), and JHCD & AR (Medications). Director Jill Pace moved to approve the listed policies and administrative rules; Director Mason Murphy seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The board also approved the deletion of an existing medication policy and administrative rule (JHCD/JHCDA & AR) in a separate motion. Board records show motions were seconded and recorded as carried unanimously for both adoption and deletion votes.
