Superintendent reports on preschool classroom addition, district office award and pending DSA approvals

In his superintendent’s report, Dr. Lopez updated the board on several district facilities and project items.
Dr. Lopez confirmed that the district awarded the district office project to BMY and accepted Ardent General for the Mendota State Preschool classroom addition. He said the Community Center will be demoed and additional classrooms are being added at Mendota Elementary to accommodate potential overflow from Washington Elementary. Staff are awaiting Division of the State Architect (DSA) approval for canopies and air conditioning for the MHS cafeteria/kitchen before proceeding with that work. Dr. Lopez reminded trustees the next regular meeting is scheduled for Sept. 24, 2025.
