The Mendota Unified School District Board approved multiple consent calendar items at its Dec. 17 meeting, including a contract with Speech Therapy Link effective Jan. 2026 through July 31, 2026, and consulting services with Rural Prosperity Center/Parent University effective Jan. 1–June 30, 2026. The board also approved overnight competitions for Mendota High School boys wrestling (Jan. 22–24, 2026) and girls wrestling (Jan. 9–10, 2026).
Trustees approved payment to Lozano Smith Attorneys at Law for a set of invoices and authorized a series of warrants in the ranges listed in the agenda. The board conditionally approved Mendota Youth Recreation's revised Facilities Use Request (Item 7.8); staff noted MYR agreed to work around existing program dates and times. That approval passed 6-0 with Trustee Sergio Valdez recused from that item.
