Medford SD honors student scholar, teacher of excellence and outgoing board director

South Medford High School College and Career Advisor Stacy Carle introduced Jamie Murphy, who earned an Associate of Science Oregon Transfer (ASOT) degree while completing high school; the minutes note Jamie expressed gratitude to staff, the Board, the district, and Rogue Community College for support.
Ruch Outdoor Community School Principal Ryan King introduced second-grade teacher Kim Neiswanger as the Oregon English Language Arts Teacher of Excellence, praising her work mentoring students through a book-writing and publishing process. Chair Cynthia Wright also recognized Board Director Suzanne Messer for four years of service (two years as vice chair and two as chair); Messer reflected on her journey and presented a kintsugi-repaired pot to Superintendent Bret Champion as a symbol of growth, and the board presented Messer with a commemorative plaque.
