Chair Brian Taylor opened a public hearing on the Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC) procurement process for the district's 2025 capital projects. Superintendent Susan Penrod explained the hearing is required as part of the CMGC process and noted the board waited the required five minutes for public comment; none was offered.
Project Manager Brian Hardebeck told trustees that, pending the board's approval, "the additional documents for the CMGC process will be published on Thursday." Board member Sondra Gomez moved to accept the CMGC Findings of Fact; Michelle Hawken seconded, and the motion carried Yea:5, Nay:0, Absent:2. The board's action authorizes staff to continue with CMGC procurement steps for the identified summer work.
