The Spring Branch Independent School District Board of Trustees met in a special session Feb. 24, 2025, at the Wayne F. Schaper, Sr. Leadership Center. President Lisa Andrews Alpe called the meeting to order at 6:01 PM and certified compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
The board recessed into closed session at 6:04 PM under Texas Government Code Sections 551.071, 551.074 and 551.0821 to consider a Level Three FNG complaint filed by parent Kristin Thomas. The board reconvened in open session at 7:19 PM and approved a motion to return the grievance to Level II for reconsideration by the administration. Trustee John Perez made the motion; Trustee Caroline H. Bennett seconded. The motion "passed by a 5-0 vote." President Alpe adjourned the meeting at 7:20 PM.
Trustees present were Lisa Andrews Alpe, Caroline H. Bennett, Shannon Mahan, John Perez and David Slattery; Trustees Courtney Anderson and Chris Earnest were absent.
