Board hears reports on compost/clean-up events, engineering projects and franchise compliance

Staff and Board members provided routine operational reports during the March 17 meeting. Ashley Davies, Director of Services & Program Development, reported upcoming compost and clean-up events and said the District received an Innovation Award from SDRMA. District Engineer Milo Ebrahimi updated the Board on active sewer infrastructure, maintenance and improvement projects.
President Chi "Charlie" Nguyen reported on the Franchise Committee meeting of March 13 with staff and CR&R representatives, noting the discussion covered compliance reports, 60-day non-compliance notices, monthly franchise-fee reports and 'over-the-top' reports. Director Mark Nguyen also reported that attendance at the Sigler Park clean-up event on March 7 was lower than the prior year due to windy weather.
