Board members asked how many lots would be affected and suggested language clarifications to subsection references in the draft ordinance. Staff answered that most lots are 80 feet or more, with relatively few in the 60–65 foot range; staff also noted existing provisions (maximum lot coverage limits) would continue to apply for certain U-shaped driveways. Susan moved to recommend approval to the City Commission; the motion was seconded and passed on roll call (Michael Cohen — In favor; Fred McLean — Yes; Susan Motley — Yes; Bill Gallo — Yes; Dennis Smith — Yes).
The board agreed to send the ordinance forward and, where helpful, staff will consider minor drafting clarifications before commission review.
