Tarkington Elementary to get ADA-compliant serving lines; board approves up to $125,000

Trustees approved replacing the serving line at Tarkington Elementary, authorizing purchases "not to exceed $125,000" and stating the funds will come from the Child Nutrition Program retained fund balance.
Mrs. Kristy Fruia, Child Nutrition Supervisor, told the board the current serving line is more than 20 years old, inefficient for serving students, and not ADA compliant; she described replacement equipment that will address those issues. The motion was moved by Dwayne Stovall and seconded by Jason Ward and passed unanimously.
District staff will use Choice Partners Purchasing Cooperative for the acquisition and will report timing and installation plans to the board.
