Council Member Roberts voiced support for the measure, emphasizing the need to allow staff to address sensitive citizen matters while reserving legislative deliberations for open council sessions: she said the city must be able to "discuss sensitive citizen information such as financial concerns and neighbor disputes to protect citizen's privacy." The motion to adopt the resolution was made by Council Member Roberts, seconded by Council Member Patterson, and carried unanimously.
