"We hit we did not know that there were septic lines in the outfield of those 2 fields," a district representative said, describing the unexpected utility conflict that required rerouting and additional work.
Staff noted turf installation schedules are weather dependent: once installers arrive, softball turf can be completed in about four days. Members asked about scheduling of spring practice and community events; staff responded that rain and wet conditions can force contractors to pause earthwork to avoid ruts and additional delays. Projects are being sequenced so turf installation and finishing work can proceed as soon as site grading and weather permit.
