Trustees approved a slate of memorandums of understanding and interlocal agreements for 2025–26 designed to expand early childhood services and special-education supports.
Items approved included MOUs with Magic Kidz Academy and Building My Future for early childhood partnerships and agreements naming Region One as the selected service provider for Strong Foundations implementation technical assistance. The board also approved partnerships for special education including Easter Seals of the Rio Grande Valley, Region One ESC for orientation and mobility and visual-impairment services, South Texas ISD for half-day CTE services for students with special needs, Region One (Child Find) for early childhood intervention, Texas Special Education Software, LLC (DBA Onward Learning), and McAllen ISD for the Regional School for the Deaf.
