The Valley View ISD Board of Trustees approved the consent agenda at its Aug. 25, 2025 regular meeting, on a motion by Board President Claudia Coronado and seconded by Jaime Gaona. The consent package included approval of minutes for the July 28 and Aug. 12 meetings and a budget amendment to purchase a box truck as recommended by Finance Director Sandra C. Martinez.
The board also adopted the Texas Principal Evaluation and Support System (TPESS) and the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (TTESS) timelines for the 2025–26 school year, as recommended by Interim Superintendent Dr. Monica Luna, and approved the Texas Education Agency staff development minutes waiver for 2025–2026 (recommended by Sandra Riojas). The board approved a student trip for the varsity volleyball team to a tournament in Port Isabel, TX, Aug. 29–30, 2025, as recommended by Interim Athletics Director Manuel Rodriguez.
