Council approves routine contracts and procurement steps including water operator contract and competitive process for lab testing

The council adopted multiple consent resolutions on June 29 that advance routine contracting, procurement and administrative matters. Notable items include Resolution 2026-181, which awards a required-disclosure contract to Water Resource Management (Cherry Hill) for licensed water-operator services with a contract value not to exceed $65,000 for the period July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026, and Resolution 2026-190, which authorizes the Qualified Purchasing Agent to commence a competitive contracting process to procure water testing and laboratory services consistent with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4.1(l).
Other consent items read and adopted included tax refunds, turnover of a tax-sale certificate premium of $44,300 to the borough treasury, renewals of plenary retail and club liquor licenses for 2026–27, salary authorizations, acceptance of meeting minutes, bills-and-claims approval totaling $1,560,669.92 (with previously paid claims of $805,288.80 listed), and renewal of prescription coverage with Benecard Services for July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027.
The resolutions were read as part of the consent agenda; the clerk certified the resolutions’ adoption and the minutes record the council votes.
