Superintendent Shaw said the lease is currently one year while the city and project team evaluate how the space is used; if successful the lease would likely become multi‑year. Administration told the board the district is responsible for furnishing the space (two conference rooms, two offices and a foyer) and that IT work (data cabling and fiber moves) is already underway. Staff said the center’s opening date has been pushed to early June and district technology work began the prior Monday.
A board member moved to approve the lease as presented; the motion carried on roll call.
