Dr. Spicer also recapped the ribbon‑cutting at the new EOAC Brazos Head Start Center, thanking Vice President Jose Vidana and community partners, and described Kendrick Construction Day — an event at the school’s temporary campus featuring interactive stations led by Built Wright Construction, Connell Robertson, and Waco ISD facilities staff. "I am actively listening and learning about the district," Dr. Spicer said, describing her first five weeks in Waco ISD and the community engagement approach that will inform district decisions.
The superintendent introduced Dr. Qunisha Johnson as the new principal of University High School; the board materials note Johnson has more than 16 years of administrative experience and holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Tarleton State University, a master's in professional counseling from Texas State University and a bachelor's in psychology from the University of Texas.
