The Waco Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously on Nov. 21 to approve a multi‑item consent agenda that included amendments to the 2024–2025 budget and multiple contract and bid awards. President Stephanie Korteweg called the meeting to order and noted the quorum and required public notice before trustees considered the listed consent items.
The consent package included bid awards for educational consulting and professional development, maintenance supplies and services, stop‑loss insurance, renewals for fire alarm repairs and fire and security alarm monitoring, and special education consulting services. The board also authorized purchases in excess of $50,000 under pre‑existing bids, use of purchasing cooperatives, and an expenditure authorization to provide and install playground equipment at Kendrick Elementary School. Jim Patton moved to approve the consent agenda; Jonathan Grant seconded, and the motion passed unanimously, 7–0.
Board minutes record the approval as a single motion; no separate roll‑call tallies for each listed contract were recorded in the open‑session minutes. The approved items will proceed under the administrative and procurement processes identified in the board materials.
