The Waco ISD board approved a comprehensive consent agenda at its Oct. 24 meeting that included budget amendments, multiple bid awards for contracted services and supplies, investment officer training and policy updates, SHAC membership, a mutual aid agreement with the City of Waco, and several policy second readings.
President Stephanie Korteweg asked the board to consider the consent agenda "as presented excluding item 8.G Bid Award for Waco High School Furniture Package." Angelo Ochoa moved to approve the consent agenda with that exclusion; Jonathan Grant seconded the motion. The minutes record that the motion passed unanimously, 6-0.
The recorded consent agenda items also included administrator contract approvals for 2024-2025, T-TESS appraisers for the school year, and minutes from prior meetings; the minutes did not record a vote breakdown by member beyond the unanimous tally. The excluded Waco High School furniture package was noted for separate consideration but the minutes do not show a later vote on that item during this meeting.
