Chamber: ADO helped secure more than $36 million in grants for Kittitas County

Amy McGuffin, executive director of the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce, told the Board on July 14 that the chamber’s Associate Development Organization (ADO) has helped secure more than $36 million in grant funding for Kittitas County. According to the minutes, those funds have supported 253 businesses and enabled eight youth summits that served 439 students.
The ADO’s outreach work also supported more than 142 meetings and planning sessions with 93 engaged partners, Ms. McGuffin said. Commissioners asked clarifying questions about how the ADO tracks outreach and partner engagement and discussed potential next steps to sustain the programs. No formal motions or votes were recorded on these items at the special meeting.
