Council approves emergency storm-sewer repairs, crane truck purchase and waives school/nonprofit permit fees

On May 12 the Rolling Meadows City Council approved a package of routine but time-sensitive items by roll call. Resolutions included ratifying emergency storm sewer repairs at 2807 and 2809 Cardinal Drive with Hoerr Construction for up to $30,720 and the purchase of a 2027 4,000-pound crane truck from Service Trucks International for $174,285. The council also waived building permit fees for Township High School District 214 and Wings Program Inc.
Council approved the May 12 warrant (payment of bills) by roll call with seven ayes. Staff indicated the storm-sewer repairs were emergency work and the crane truck purchase was to support public-works operations.
