Mayor Robert Straz told the council there will be an E‑Waste event for Palos Heights residents at the Metra lot this Saturday from 8:30–11:30 a.m. and asked the council to approve the Illinois Local Elevator Safety Program Agreement, which the council approved on voice/roll call.
Straz also introduced a resolution described as supporting the Municipal Housing Authority and opposing a state-level Illinois Building Act that he said would take control from local municipalities. He amended that motion to include "…as outlined by the IML," and the council adopted the resolution on a unanimous voice/roll call vote.
