Council approves WesBanco accounts, extends employment application deadline

The Lumberport Town Council approved several administrative items during its Dec. 2 meeting, including new bank accounts and an adjusted job-application deadline.
Council approved establishing one cash account and one credit-card account at WesBanco (motion by Micheal Stire, second by Richard Desist). The council also recorded that no bids were received for the sludge pond project at the water plant and discussed seeking options from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
On personnel, the council voted to change the application deadline for Town Hall employment from Dec. 18, 2024 to Jan. 1, 2025; the motion was made by Thomas Exline and seconded by Micheal Stire. The council also accepted the financial report and adjourned at 6:58 P.M.
