Superintendent Dr. Bobby Ott used the April 14 meeting to recognize a range of student and staff accomplishments. The minutes list SkillsUSA medalists in Manufacturing, Construction, Automotive and Cosmetology; the Temple High School Kittens were named State Champions with both the officers and varsity team named Grand Champions; two Business Professionals of America students qualified for nationals; and Kaurie Holleman set a new Temple High School girls long-jump record at 20ft 1in, surpassing the previous 20ft mark.
Additional recognitions included 2024-2025 WCS Wellness Members of the Year Amy Hayes and Linda Hernandez, alumni spotlights for Michael Morris and Tanya Ledger Mikeska-Reed, and the Superintendent's Leadership Award presented to Coach Mike Lefner for his 36 years of service to the district. The minutes record these awards and honors but do not include remarks or acceptance comments from the honorees.
