Board recognizes Weaver wrestling champions and announces teacher mini-grant winners

"We took 7 boys to the state tournament and all 7 placed," the coach said.
Jamie Davis, president of the Calhoun County Education Association, told the board the association awards six $250 mini-grants annually and listed winners from several schools, including Monique Greer (White Plains Middle) and Lindy Mange (Mohatchee High). Mr. Willis also outlined a new district employee-of-the-year program recognizing classified staff and named departmental winners (for example, Josh Davis as IT employee of the year and Christie Griffin as central-office employee of the year). A luncheon will be scheduled to present certificates and take photos.
