Board discusses 'collapsing enrollment,' territory-transfer criteria and state advocacy

Trustees discussed contacting Assembly Member Robert Rivas, Assembly Member Addis' office and Senator Laird to advocate for a funding floor or other legislative fixes. The superintendent and staff noted that the county has begun outreach with the California Department of Education on interpretation of criteria related to territory transfers and financial thresholds (including the cited "901" benchmark).
