The appellant described logistical hardship as the rationale for the appeal: she said managing different school schedules and transportation for two children places a burden on the family and that her older child attends aftercare in Spreckels. "Having 2 children in different schools is a hardship for our family," the appellant said. The board ultimately voted to allow the transfer in this case.
