Council adopts consent resolutions, postpones AFSCME side letter to June 23
Summary

The Council considered its consent resolutions on May 26 and, after the Mayor read titles into the record, moved five items (H, I, K, L, M) in one motion without debate. Roll call recorded AYES: Budmats, O’Brien, Reyez, Koehler, McHale; NAYS: 0; ABSENT: Vinezeano, Boucher. The resolutions were adopted.
Mayor Sanoica pulled Resolution J (26-R-67), a side letter agreement with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) related to a Community Development Coordinator, at staff request. City Attorney Melissa Wolf explained the union had provided additional information that needed vetting and negotiation. Alderperson Koehler moved to postpone the resolution to June 23, 2026; Alderperson O’Brien seconded. The roll call to postpone recorded AYES: O’Brien, Reyez, Koehler, McHale, Budmats; the postponement passed and the matter was scheduled for the June 23 meeting.
Other consent items adopted included appointments to the O’Hare Noise Compatibility Commission, a sick-leave donation side letter, promotional examination and rules amendments for police sergeant promotion, and termination of restrictive covenants in the Golf Road Triangle Subarea. The minutes show the reappointments of Steven Rossi and Marsha Kremer to the Library Board were approved by roll call (5-0).
