Resident Chris Workman asked why the request favored IB rather than LB; Seamon and Development Director Steve Neilson explained IB matches the corridor zoning, allows more uses outright, and avoids a split‑zoned lot of record. The commission voted 9–0 to approve and forward the request to City Council.
