At the May 4 meeting the Village presented life‑saving awards and unit citations for two separate incidents (2/23/2026 and 2/25/2026). Recipients named in the minutes included Lieutenant Jason Williams; Firefighter/Paramedics Chris Johnston, Sean McDermott, Reese Howell, Edward Schultz, Abby Quigley, Danielle Wojtycki; Corporal Josh Czerak; Officers Ruben Alonzo, Ivan Mendoza, Gino Fiore, William Torres and Marisa Mangiantini; and WC3 Telecommunicator Jackie James received a Life Saving Award. The minutes list awards by incident date and company (Engine Company 807, Ambulance Company 805).
Clerk Sandy Lid administered the Oath of Office and a pinning ceremony for three new firefighters/paramedics — Abel Angel Enriquez, Kiefer Kroll and Edward Maxwell Schultz. The minutes include a congratulatory note: "Congratulations to all the recipients and thank you for your continued service to our Village and its residents."
