City Administrator Mike Gorman told the council the Pool failed an electrical inspection and that, at present, there is nothing the city can do to reopen it. He discussed planning options and said the city is exploring the best pathway forward for a new pool but gave no firm timetable or funding decision at the meeting.
Gorman also reported that the Fareway development project remains on the city’s schedule with an anticipated 2028 opening. He said the city is awaiting details from a grant from Congressman Bacon's office, including arrival and spending requirements, before committing the funds. Mayor Lewis reminded residents of a Valley Days Foundation meeting on Feb. 17 amid board resignations.
