Valley council adopts multiple resolutions on personnel, fees, bonds and fireworks

The Valley City Council on Feb. 10 adopted a set of resolutions addressing personnel policy, public-works fees, debt management and special-event permits. Among them: Resolution No. 2026-05 requires employees to reimburse the city for training-related costs upon separation; Resolution No. 2026-06 establishes fees for cutting into paving, curb or sidewalk; and Resolution No. 2026-07 authorizes paying the City's Valhaven Nursing Home bonds in full before maturity.
The council also adopted Resolution No. 2026-08 related to resignation and removal of a member of the City of Valley Leasing Corporation board and then appointed City Attorney Matt Munderloh to that board. The council approved a fireworks-sale application from American Legion Post 58/Legion Baseball (Resolution 2026-09) and a fireworks-sale application from the Valley Days Foundation (Resolution 2026-10); all votes were unanimous.
