District keeps Science 21 as core, adds OpenSciEd support; ENL reviews completed

Rylott said the district will continue using Science 21 as its core science program (the "spine") with OpenSciEd and Mystery Doug as the only supplemental resources. She described OpenSciEd as a newly researched program being incorporated to support instruction and said the curriculum team used independent resources such as EdReports and district data to inform choices. Rylott also reported that ENL annual review meetings were completed with parent participation and that the district is analyzing grade 3–7 mathematics performance data to guide instruction.
The administration emphasized that curriculum is iterative and that adjustments will be made to ensure a coherent scope and sequence for September instruction.
