Dr. Doelger also reviewed the calendar of budget meetings ahead of the May vote: Feb. 9 (Budget Meeting #2), Mar. 2 (Budget Workshop), Mar. 16 (Budget Overview), Apr. 20 (Board adopts budget), May 11 (Public Budget Hearing), and May 19 (Budget Vote, 10 a.m.–8 p.m., School Gymnasium). President Kathleen Lynch clarified that the district's presented increases reflect rising costs, while Board Member Margaret Colligan emphasized the board's limited control over many mandated increases.
