Superintendent reports 'zero (0) infractions' under new cell‑phone ban; Start with Hello Week underway

Superintendent Brian Doelger, attending the Sept. 15 meeting virtually, told the board the district’s start to the school year has been positive and noted there have been "zero (0) infractions" related to the district’s new cell‑phone ban. Assistant Superintendent Jennifer Rylott reported that the Social Emotional Team is leading Start with Hello Week, a Sandy Hook Promise program aimed at preventing violence and promoting social inclusion, and said that school psychologist Danielle Spears will present on Erin’s Law at the October board meeting. The superintendent attended virtually due to illness and expressed appreciation to the board for accommodating remote participation.
