Shelter Island’s Town Board approved a package of fiscal actions and contracts during its March 3 special meeting. The board authorized a $114,700 transfer from the Highway Capital Reserve Fund to A8160.200 Landfill Equipment for purchase of an East Genesis Unloader Trailer (resolution 2026‑115) and recorded that the purchase is subject to permissive referendum. The board also authorized $65,313 from the 2026 A3120.491 Police Contracts account to the Town of Southold for the Police Dispatch agreement (2026‑109) and approved software and IT services contracts with Tritech (annual maintenance $13,167.28) and East End Computers (Datto and management services totaling $31,500 combined across resolutions 2026‑111 and 2026‑112).
In addition the Board accepted a $12,000 donation from the Shelter Island Ambulance Foundation to purchase a LUCAS CPR device and associated maintenance contract (resolution 2026‑113). Several smaller budget transfers were approved to correct payroll coding and to reallocate funds to police equipment and machine repairs. The minutes show these resolutions were adopted and list accounting line items for each transfer.
