During the July 13 meeting, Councilwoman MaryAnn Nelson presented information she had received from National Grid about the utility’s LED Conversion Program. She said that because the town’s existing lighting inventory is old, the conversion would involve no cost to the town. Nelson said she would follow up with National Grid about updating the municipal building as well.
The board voted to authorize Supervisor Mark Fletcher to email National Grid and request the lighting district updates; the motion passed by voice vote, 5 yes, 0 no. Highway Superintendent Chad Evans said he would also explore a separate program for updating municipal building lighting.
