President Nicole McDermott called for an executive session at the April 15 study session and the board approved a motion for a closed meeting to discuss litigation and negotiations. "I move we go to an Executive Session for the purpose of litigation and negotiations," said Kim Chandler; Kris Nguyen seconded. Those who did not need to attend the executive session were excused and the closed session began at 5:56 p.m. with the listed attendees.
Later in the meeting Kim Chandler moved to close the executive session; Kris Nguyen seconded and the motion "passed unanimously." The public minutes list who attended the executive session but do not include any substantive discussion, consistent with the confidential nature of executive session topics.
