The St. Stephen City Council approved a resolution adopting fees, charges and compensation that set permit, variance, and liquor-license fees and other administrative charges effective Jan. 8, 2025. The adopted resolution lists a variety of fees (variance and site-permit fees, coin-operated amusement fee, liquor-license fees) and compensation items for mayor and council positions as printed in the resolution document.
The council also adopted two donation resolutions. Resolution No. 01082025-1 accepted an $11,000 donation from the Relief Association to the Fire Department Equipment Fund under Minnesota Statutes Section 465.03. A separate resolution accepted $1,000 from Skaj's Chicken House and $500 from the St Wendel Sportsman Club to fund the Fire Department's 75th Anniversary Event. The resolutions direct the city clerk to issue receipts to donors and specify the funds' uses for the fire department.
